The Sankatmochan Social Welfare Trust was founded with the aim of ensuring that reliable and affordable health care is available to all citizens, living in the remotest parts of our country. Armed with this vision, the trust engages with communities on a regular basis to increase awareness about preventive diseases. It also operates a telemedicine clinic in Ramnagar, West Champaran, Bihar since 2018. The clinic is run purely on a charitable basis and provides medical consults to 40 patients every month. In addition to consultation, the trust also helps pay for advanced treatment in cases where a patient needs to come to higher centers in bigger cities. At the moment, the trust is focused on Bihar but sooner, it plans to establish its presence in other parts of the country. The trust also runs a clinic in Patna, Bihar where patients with Gastroenterology and Neurology related problems are provided a consult at a very nominal cost.
